About Me
I have an interest in Game design and a specific focus on level design. I completed a Bachelor in Screen Arts with a Major in Game Development, at Massey University, in November 2023.
My game development experience includes: Bobbi Bones, an isometric Metroidvania game made in Unity; The Valley of Grief, a walkthrough environment in Unreal Engine 5; The Wright Cat's Tale, a Unity 2D side scroller action/adventure game; Witch Game, a 48-hour Game Jam 3D top-down adventure game; and Maze Escape, a small Unity top-down 2D maze shooter.
I chose to go into game development after seeing the effect that The Last of Us Part II had on its fanbase. Observing the division of the fans from starting when they hate a character and then ending with them understanding this character was awesome. It made me wonder what else could be achieved through games to help improve the player's mental health. I want to create experiences that teach and help people how to process their personal challenges in life. I lost a close family member in 2017 so making these experiences will also help me process my grief.
